Welcome to Our Events Guidelines
This is where we share guidelines, instructions, and any updates on changes to current policies.
This is where we share highlights, moments, and updates from our past dating events. From Wine & Dine evenings to themed gatherings, you’ll find recaps, photos, and reflections from our community right here.
Arrival & Punctuality
The event will start promptly, so please arrive early to check in and get settled.
Parking is available in nearby public lots; please allow extra time if driving.
Tickets & Spots
Spots are limited — we recommend purchasing your ticket as soon as possible.
Tickets may be available at the door, but this is not guaranteed. If you wish to buy a ticket at the door, please message us on the day of the event at: TO.Kenyaconnect@gmail.com to check availability.
If the gender ratio is very unbalanced, the event may be postponed. We will notify you via email in advance.
Email Communication
Please check your email (including spam/junk folders) a day before the event for last-minute updates and location information.
After the event, check your inbox for emails regarding connecting with other attendees. These emails often go to spam/junk boxes, so please check carefully.
Dress Code & Presentation
Dress neat and comfortable, suitable for social interaction. Smart casual is recommended.
Consider the weather — the event is winter, and you may be moving between tables.
Shoes should be comfortable for standing and light movement.
Kenyan cultural awareness:
Respectful greetings are appreciated (handshake or light hug if comfortable).
Modesty in dress is generally valued; avoid overly casual or revealing clothing.
Be mindful of personal space and politeness in conversations.
Event Conduct
This is a small, intimate meet-up, not a large party.
Conversations should be respectful, inclusive, and comfortable.
Please refrain from discussing politics, religion debates, or sensitive personal topics unless mutually welcomed.
Our goal is to foster genuine connection, laughter, and engaging conversation.
Pairing & Participation
Bookings are confirmed only once pairs are matched.
If there isn’t a match for you this time, you’ll have the option to receive a refund or join the next meet-up.
Speed dating rounds are 5–7 minutes each, with structured prompts to guide conversation.
Activities are designed to break the ice and encourage engagement — participation is encouraged.
Food & Drinks
Light refreshments, including chai, and mandazis can be ordered at the restaurant.
Important Reminders
Respect all attendees — kindness and openness are key.
Phones on silent or vibrate to avoid interruptions.
Enjoy the experience — take it slow, one conversation at a time! (Tuanze pole pole)
